Why Music?

​In 2016,  I attended a session at our annual OMEA (Ohio Music Education Association) state music conference called "Be Part of the Music".  To help encourage young people to participate in band, I encourage you to follow the link at the bottom of this page.

​Because I feel so strongly about the positive impact that participation in music performance groups can have on young people, I have created this page.  Think of it as a "spring board" to help you retrieve information to support what you may already believe in.

At River View, we take pride in our music performance groups and want you to take pride in your support of them.
